The America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP)  Expo and Conference was held in San Diego from June 20-22. I wanted to share some observations from the conference on some of the challenges and opportunities facing the health insurance industry.

I had the opportunity to attend the MegaPAW - Predictive Analytics World in Las Vegas on June 5 and 6th.  My focus was on the Healthcare sessions.  I noted the following:

Investment in technology is essential to keep up with trends in the healthcare industry. The field is changing with new technologies, such as: Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, virtual reality (VR) and much more. It’s imperative to understand these technologies, and have a strategic plan in place to ensure a strong ROI while maintaining a focus on patient care.

Each of us has a dream and a unique definition of success, whether that comes in the form of professional achievement, happiness in personal lives, or a combination of the two. Everyone’s dreams are different, but there are a few overarching methods for achieving success that we all can share.
